Thelma F. Madzima
I received my Bachelors degree from Fort Valley State University in Plant Biotechnology (under the mentorship of Dr. Sarwan Dhir). In 2009 I received a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Florida, working in the lab of Dr. Kevin Folta. Prior to coming to UW Bothell, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the lab of Dr. Karen McGinnis at Florida State University.
In my spare time, I like to travel, cook (and braai) and go wine tasting in Woodinville, WA. I also love college football (Go Gators! and Go Huskies!).
