Lucas Riboldi, Ph.D

Lucas Riboldi, Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry (Esalq/USP – Brazil), is a postdoctoral researcher at Madzima Lab. His research focuses on maize epigenetics, genome editing, and plant transformation. With extensive experience in plant physiology, molecular biology, tissue culture, and genomics, he has studied stress responses, hormonal regulation, and metabolic pathways in crops like tomato, maize and Brazilian native plants. Lucas has conducted research in several universities including UC Davis, Oregon State University, University of Sao Paulo and State University of Campinas, and has contributed to projects on abiotic stress resistance and genome editing. Passionate about plant biology and adaptation, he aims to advance knowledge in plant molecular biology and support sustainable agricultural solutions for climate change challenges. Outisde the lab, Lucas loves outdoor activities, hiking and cooking.
